Why do I need it in my life?
It’s my mission here to create a recourse for all those seeking a positive change but don’t know where to start. If you want to begin your journey to a healthier lifestyle but feel overwhelmed by the expanse of information out there please let me help you to keep it simple, take you “BHAKTI BASICS” and keep it brief.
I’m not an authority on it all and will always endeavor to point you in the right direction for further reading if your interest is piqued.
I was raised a vegetarian, so have a lifetime of creative healthy cooking under my belt and I love nothing more than cooking for people and being asked for seconds! I’m passionate about eating wholefoods and ferments as often as possible and embark on an intense cleanse protocol at least twice a year at the turn of the seasons which are a mix of The Clean Program as well as a detox for the mind and soul.
The health benefits I’ve found since eliminating grains and dairy from my diet have been immeasurable, my skin is clearer, my eyes are even a little bluer and I sleep like a baby. Who’d have guessed that taking care of yourself can make you feel so good huh?
I know that it’s not easy to live like this 24/7 and think it’s important to have a relaxed approach to this mindset, otherwise it can become a kind of punishment in itself. I’ve heard it said “not to let yoga become another rod for your back” and feel that we probably need to be reminded of that more often than we’d like to admit…
